Safeway Packaging Employees Honored By Ohio Strong

Five employees of New Bremen, Ohio based Safeway Packaging were honored by the Ohio Strong program for their dedication to their jobs, according to an article on www.sidneydailynews.com. Recognized during a ceremony last week were Terry Williams, Mark Tobin, Mike Garman, Marilyn Epperson, and Kass Storer.

The five individuals selected for the Ohio Strong Award have all been long-term and loyal employees with impeccable attendance records, excellent knowledge of the trade and job skills, and an overall asset to Safeway Packaging.

Ohio Strong is a program that recognizes Ohioans excelling in manufacturing and the skilled trades. Ohio Treasurer, Josh Mandel launched Ohio Strong to help recognize men and women in manufacturing and the skilled trades, and raise public awareness to encourage more people to pursue careers in these fields. Mandel has been meeting with small businesses, family manufacturing companies, vocational training providers, job creators, and workers throughout Ohio. They all reinforce the need for a renewed focus on preparing Ohio's workforce for jobs in modern manufacturing and the skilled trades.

The Ohio Strong award is part of the effort seeking to recognize men and women in Ohio who are excelling in careers in manufacturing and the skilled trades. Safeway Packaging sent in five nominations for the award. Award recipients typically demonstrate exemplary work ethic and heightened excellence in manufacturing and skilled trades.
